A note about keyboards....look at CES coverage. There are a couple coming out. I used a iPaq years ago with a portable keyboard. Didn't really change anything. My phone is for incidental notes or if I have been caught without my Mac book, but I pretty much carry my macbook where ever I go now. If you are going to carry a portable keyboard chances are you are better off with either a laptop or (fingers crossed) a tablet of some kind. Think about it. You either would use yoru phone or real paper right? Why go lower? Just go for the real deal. Great recommendation on Things.
