All my friends and I listen to appslappy so you should too!
I am a PC user and even I like it (where can I invest?!)..
OK I bought a refurb itouch…awsome product..and these guys are like CAR TALK for the IPHONE….not bad.
Hey guys, I sympathize with your ambivalence when forced to choose between the polar opposite ratings of “Slappy” and”Crappy.” If you’re looking for a middle ground, for those apps that show promise but are not quite ready for prime time, I’d suggest you rate them as “Gappy”–because there’s room to grow before they truly earn the “Slappy” label.
Ok I have listened to The Instance for a while and when I heard Scott was starting Appslappy I figured I would check it out. I have listened to all of them so far and I’m excited to hear the next one. Oh and Scott you can have 11 pages with the new iPhone 3g S. And the S stands for supreme lol.
You guys rock!! I just got a generation 2 iPod touch on June 17 and found your podcast and I read some reviews and decided to check it out. When I did I loved it. I’ve downloded several of the apps you guys talked about and they were awesome!
Great show!! Been listening since show 1 (in a few years that will be a legitimate bragging point) and look forward to the next one.
Keep em coming!
Were is the jailbreak dude ? Why wasn’t he in the last episode?
You need to have banner html we can post on our websites, to advertise the slappiest appiest happiest podcastiest podcast.
I’m just getting caught up with this podcast and I’d highly recommend it. Eric and Scott do a great job highlighting the news of the week and great reviews to help you find all those games and apps you’ve been looking for.
Keep it up guys!
Wow! Just discovered the show and am catching up on the archives. What a great show! Love the easy flowing, conversational nature. Scott is the consummate host; the Leo Laporte of iPhone podcasting. Your format and style are golden. Keep it up!!
Hey guys,
Picked up my first iPhone a couple weeks back (3GS) and stumbled across your podcast. I listened to the latest, and really dug it, so I’ve gone back to the first and am making my way through. Love it!
Question for ya… I’m a voice actor in Los Angeles, and am looking for a good way to record my auditions on the go. I have been hipped to programs like iProRecorder and FiRe, but have yet to find an input device that can sound semi professional. I used to have an iPod Touch, and I tried the Alesis ProTrack rig, but that sounded awful. I then moved on to the Blue Microphones Mikey, which I read good things about, but realized after it arrived that it wasn’t compatible with the Touch, so I returned it.
Now that I finally have an iPhone (a.k.a. God Phone), maybe I should give Blue Mikey another whirl. Before I do though, I was wondering if you fellahs had any input on the subject.
By the way, you both will have definitely heard my voice at some point as WOW players. I did the voice for Illidan. Har.
Keep kicking ass!
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to let you know that sometimes I miss the application name at the beginning of the review, or I forget it and I am just listening to your review and when its really good, that’s when I get interested and sometimes you don’t mention the name of the application again for me to write down. If you could mention the application name at the beginning and at the end, especially when you really like the app, that would be great!
Thanks
I’m totally with you about Sally Spa. I downloaded it at your recommendation and am embarassed to say I love it.
Nice podcast guys! I just discovered it yesterday and am now download all 9 episodes. Should be a fun week of drive time.
I am an ipod touch 2g user. Love your podcast. I enjoy the easy flow of conversation between you both and enjoy the tips and review. Got me hooked!
You guys are the best!! love the show, keep it up.
Hello Scott & Eric! I just got my first ITOUCH recently and found your podcast to help me make sense of what apps are out there worth getting… I love the podcast because while being informative, it’s enjoyable to listen to (not too techie like others). I have downloaded all your episodes but not made my way through all of them yet so i hope this question hasn’t already been answered….
Does an app exist that will give me one button access to my podcasts off the dashboard? Currently I have to go into MUSIC, MORE, PODCASTS then scroll through my selections. Not the end of the world, but the one and only thing that annoys me while driving…
Scott, I am a looking to do some decent screencasts for my office mates at the school of public health where I work. I think you do great work and was hoping you would say a few words or email me back about the software, hardware you use for podcasting/screencasting.
I have a mac but didn’t know which microphone to get and pop filters and that sort of thing and which software do you use for podcastng? I won’t even try to be as good as you and Eric are but down here in New Orleans a decent screencast about tools tips and tricks for my job will be very cool! Cheers. Keep the slappy apps coming. I listen to the show as soon as it comes out each week.
Hello gents — two items for you:
1) An interesting article about the “Top 10 iPhone Annoyances and How to Fix Them”. Not purely about apps, but related. http://bit.ly/GRd11
2) In addition to the great commentary about apps in news, reviews, etc., you also talk about apps in the listener feedback section of the show. Would it be possible to include those mentions in the show notes as well?
Great work, love the show!
hi scott and eric i love your show its good it flows really well and i like when like scott or something makes a mistake you dont edit it out and its not too techie like OHHH

Heyy Scott And Eric,
Love the show. I think you guys pick out the best apps. Plus Appslappy is the first podcast I have ever listened to and i’m hooked. Anyways, thats beside the point. What I wanted to know is why alot of the really good apps are firmware 3.0+ only. This is rather annoying since I dont fancy paying £9 for a couple of iTarded features. Help
.

Great podcast guys!!! I love the news about the apps, your critics and jokes. Greetings from Brazil.
Hey there Scott & Eric,
I just found you guys through a friend, and so far you guys are great.
My friend suggested I contact you to review my first App now just available in the App Store on Nov 11th, so drop me an email and let me know what’s the process.
I’m a pure neophyte as far as marketing, so feel free to point me in the right direction. My App, called iBlockade is a faithful port of the MacOS game Blockade from 1991 with the appropriate changes needed to work on the iPhone. Since it was one of my favorite old-style game, I thought it would be a great learning experience. Now, I want to unleash it, and start adding new and different puzzle features, hopefully with the feedback of my users.
Hope to talk with you soon!
-Carl
PS: Feel free to edit/update the website address on my previous post. I put 2 site names, and of course it fails with a comma separating them

Have no idea how to contact you guys, no email or even form email. Please make that easier to find.
I have seen on youtube videos where people with jailbroken itouch and iphone can use their itouch from their computer? and i was wondering how to do it? please any one help me!!
Guys, I have really enjoyed the podcast very much. You’ve helped fill two or three screens of apps on my 3GS. There is however one app I cannot find. On my old Sidekick II, I had an app that would turn airplane mode on and off at preset times. Daily, one event, and so on. This was so useful to me.
Much to my suprise, out of the many thousands of iPhone apps, no such animal can I find. I did see such an app called “aTimeTool” that does what I need, but it’s for jailbroken phones. I just don’t have any interest in doing that.
I wonder if this is something that Apple doesn’t permit? Or did I just miss the app that I need somwhere in the store? Surely, I can’t be the only one who wants such a feature.
Best podcast it is great you guys rock!
Hi Guys,
Love the show! I recently upgraded (crossgraded?) from a Touch to an iPhone. Now that I’m connected all (most) of the time, I would like to have an app for managing/adding to my Netflix queue. There are several apps, all which have mixed reviews and varying prices. Do you have a recommendation?
Thanks,
Mike B.
I totally enjoy all your Podcasts, especially AppSlappy and Hypthetical Help. I always get a good laugh. I’m hooked on both the podcasts and of course my new iPhone. Whatever was I thinking when I was using the Blackberry I used to have. iPhone should be defined as common sense technology in the the technological Dictionary of Life.
FYI
Extinct Trilobyte’s back in the game
The former CD-ROM business will soon sell its ’7th Guest’ game through Apple’s iTunes store

I can’t get enough of App Slappy. My phone is filling up with great apps. I don’t even have time to try them all before the next batch comes in.
India – Momma Game House has introduced JumpingEgg 1.1, a timing-based endless climbing game where you must simply keep moving your egg from basket to basket without allowing it to fall. With games, even those on the iPhone or iPad getting increasingly complex it’s nice to know that there are some simple games out there that aren’t poorly made. Nice refreshing app to see on this platform for while as it was getting all those complicated apps or games.
Here comes nice and simple game. With cool graphics and pleasing music. Which is named as Jumping Egg. In which one has to move an egg from one basket to another by tapping the screen of your iDevice (iPhone, iPod, iPad) Sounds easy enough? Not if you have to time your taps with the movement of the baskets. Even more so when the layout and movement of said baskets is completely randomized. Accompanied by cool background and soulful music.
Handling those egg and baskets sound easy but may not be, because there is only one try or one chance. Make it count before you find yourself starting right back from the beginning. Be warned though, there is only one chance before you see the game-over screen. After this you’d be forced to try your luck again right from the beginning so make sure your reflexes are up to stuff.
Paid version is also available as Jumping Egg Pro with three chances and bonus level to go with it. So grab the free copy of it and enjoy.
Pricing and Availability:
JumpingEgg 1.1 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category.
Momma Game House specialise in developing Games.
Jumping Egg being our third product. Earlier two being My Block and Jumping Egg Pro respectively.

Love the podcast.
Eileen, you should check out “next episode”. It’s like the tv app you reviewed last week but I think it’s better.
Keep up the great work.
What about “weekly” don’t they understand? Every 7 days?
What about “weekly” don’t they understand? I guess it is the “every 7 days” part.
How did you guys get your podcast onto itunes? I have been trying for 3 months and i get 1 of 3 errors…

Great Show! I get your podcast through Downcast and I have a request. Can you please post some show notes (list the apps covered)and links to your site and emails? When using downcast, you can tap on the screen and either have your big logo or a small logo and info. Thanks, Tom (Crystal Lake,IL)
