Scott, the little hole on the back of the Mystery Ipod Touch, appears likely to be a microphone for video recording.
VGA Adapter – works with AirVideo too!
Also jailbreak – and use DisplayOut to display everything
So, thank’s for the info on the VGA Adapter, I was seriously considering buying it for stuff but apparently it’s useless for that. So thanks for that!
I want the camera adapter, that looks real useful. I’m gunna hold off until you get a chance to review it though, just in case. So, looking forward to that, now. =P
Also, Jesus Christ I want a camera on my iPod Touch. ‘n’ seeing that I’ve got the second generation (meaning I can’t get OS4) I’m gunna have to buy a new model anyway. So, give us a camera! xDD
Also yay, you answered my e-mail. Jamie B here, not Bamber unfortunately, though.
The feature in the App Store you mentioned isn’t there quite yet but it’s nice to know that’ll be coming so I can check it out after launch.
This ep was weak, guys. Scott sounds bored with the whole thing. Eric sounds tired. Time to go on hiatus for retooling.
Haha, why is someone trying to be me? (And failing, also. I’ve got myself a gavatar account and a website link in my name thing.) xD
Twitter had to delete the accounts becouse they changed from basic auth to oauth. Basic auth will be unsupprted from June 2010 so good luck continuing using Tweetie. It is going to be Twitter.app or nothing!
Just a tip, guys: you can make a smart playlist to hold all iTune store files (purchased/protected MPEG-4). That way you can know how much media you bought from iTunes.
The little hole next to the supposed iPod Touch, I’m guessing would be an LED flash or perhaps an indicator light to know it’s on like the iSight on the portable computers?
I know Jobs has backpaddled here and there with iTunes but I cannot see him allowing the subscription service (the one thing he’s been set against from the beginning). I agree with Eric, I don’t like a subscription model, just let me stream my own media, all of it, from my computer. Air Video usage integrated into iTunes? Hell yes!
Anyone thinking Google just wanted to beat Apple to the punch, just get their media coverage on a similar service/product (one would assume) that Apple will unveil at WWDC?
I have a theory. It goes one of two ways: 1. Schmidt was privy to the future Apple was planning (he was on the board) and has geared Google to attack that model in their own way. Seems dirty but that’s business. 2. What if when he was removed from the board at Apple (due to Android, was it, conflict of interest?) that he left as a proponent and though the companies seem at odds they are trying to align technology using their combined powers? I agree, I don’t want them to be enemies. We all are better off if their friendly. At the moment Google seems to be attacking Apple, and doing a good job of it. After I/O, the events of WWDC will be very interesting.
