I’m one of the folks who got screwed in the educational sting. I ordered mine way early but bought through my school (I’m a professor). Ordered well before the shift to 4/12 and today (4/4) I still see “April” as ship time. A conversation with Apple on the phone had a rep saying that I ought to have my iPad shipped by the 20th since they are filling orders to ‘the public’ first.

This rubs me pretty raw since all 200 of my students were anxious to see the iPad used in my classroom. I’m the guy on my campus that is lucky enough to get to test new technology that might be distributed for other academics to use… now that won’t happen until our semester is just about over with.

LOVED your review and I love AppSlappy! It’s so nice to finally be able to put a face to the voice. I’m glad you beat Eric to the iPad.

Ultimately I’ll have both the WiFi and 3G version. I made a 3G personal order placed on the 13th for both myself and my wife, because I’m not an idiot.

Hey, guys. Next time you add a video add it with youtube or vim please. Us poor ipadnpeople (and the rich iPhone people too) can’t see your hilarious rant about how your wifey didn’t get you your iPad fast enough after waiting in line since 4am this morning.

P.s. In Florida I had to stand for a full 15 minutes in the “not registered” line to get my 16gig iPad! Plus it was just after my afternoon nappy at 2pm which meant I was cranky!

Thanks Scott, pretty rad review. Get a new web cam though. 2010 yielded some badass HD cams at Costco that you can just have up on tripod and hook up USB, for HD feeds, tapeless. I was hoping for footage that the apple site didn’t display, and I got a few things but wanted to see something overwhelming. Maybe like Fallon playing Air Hockey on it last night or something. Just thought a gamer would have it laid out as a D&D board or something. No offense dude, I love everything you do regardless. Yes, I’m probably a dick, sorry.

I got totally dicked on iPhone v1 cuz I paid $600 for it, so I’m not buying this thing yet….tanks for sharing.
