  1. I would also like to see a list of both your apps. Thanks for your podcasts keep up the good work.

  2. My favorite long form game didn?t get mentioned – Civilization Revolution. Sid Meier’s Civilization is my favorite game ever. Years ago, a magazine named it the second best game ever behind the popular shooter of the day (I think it was Doom) and someone wrote in to say that it was grossly underrated. Civilization translates very well to the iPhone. It has been simplified so that a game can finish in a few hours rather than dozens. I also like Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor – excellent graphics and gameplay mechanics.

  3. I second the Hipstamatic app as a runner up. Personally, it’s my favorite camera app of the year, but Best Camera is a great experience as well. Great episode guys.

  4. Scott, I love you and the shows you produce and please don’t take it the wrong way but I think it’s unfair to call us here in Manila an idiot not getting the Free Apps that is not available here thru iTunes, i.e. Pandora. You’re still the best!

  5. Ditto on the show notes :) I was listening to the podcast in the car and was going to download everything I had missed during the year… but no notes!

When you get a chance… it would be much appreciated :)

  6. Hmmm…good point. I was worried no one would listen to the episode if we did them all in the notes. :)

  7. Huh? I posted a comment previously but it’s gone missing. i was just wondering if there is a list of your top apps of 2009 somewhere?

  8. Woops sorry, my bad. Appeared when page refreshed after submitting another comment. Sorry for double post.

  9. There is another genre that you should include. Music creation or recording apps. I really like the updates to 4Track. It is really powerful and can import files from DopplerPad. I also like Simple SongWriter for capturing music ideas. It records your cord progressions for you and will play them back. Too bad it won’t layer so you could build an entire song. I love your Show.

    DERP!

  10. Scott, which recorder app do you use that replaces voice memo? There are a ton in the app store and I’m not sure which one it since there are no show notes :(

  11. He used to use the app Recorder by Retronyms. I still use it and it works amazingly, just make sure to turn on the high-quality recording setting make its sound alot better. Highly recommended : o)

  12. By looking at it, is those in app pruchases when you record outgoing calls? I can just record voice memos with this right?

  13. Another vote for a list. I’m just too lazy to take notes while listening. Also it’s not safe to have pens on the stair stepper machine.

  14. Glad to see flight control up there, but that’s a given. What about MiniSquadron?! Really great indie game. Also, 321 Photo is the best camera app – and its still free! Grab it.
