I was under the impression that free AIM could receive notifications for a little while after it was exited, but not that long (I’ve had them come in), whereas the paid version was for up for 24 hours? Maybe I’m just pulling that out of my butt, but that was my understanding.
I stand corrected – the descriptions imply the only difference is ads… nice.

Regarding Rowmote, I use Air Mouse Pro. $1.99 on sale, great app that lets you have a trackpad, keyboard, remote, and you can move the iPhone in the air as a mouse in one mode.
