iBird shoots to the top!
“IBird was one of three applications that appeared in the spot, and while it got only about seven seconds, that was all it needed to become the No. 1 ?reference? app in the iPhone App Store, a software star among the 35,000-plus applications now crowding the store?s shelf.”
Next gen iPhone auto-focus, compass revealed?
Palm Pre Gets Mixed Early Review: Not An Apple iPhone Killer
“If an early review posted on The Boy Genius Report is any indication, Palm has delivered a solid entry to the smartphone market with some neat features, but a few flaws may prevent the Pre from being fully accepted as an iPhone killer. ‘”

- Heroes Comic Reader – 4.99 (read the heroes TV comics on your phone. Lame.)

Congrats on the new podcast!
What, exactly, is going on in this picture!? Also, where can I buy that opening song?
First Shows are usually stupid but i really liked this one. You guys did a great job. Looking forward to future episodes. Definitely a fun show.
I love the new podcast! I don’t have an iTouch as of yet, but I still found it intresting and funny!
Hey scott nice first episode. Will be very handy on my future iphone apps shopping spree… Just one thing get another side kick… Ure co-host sucks big time… Lame jokes and some weird attitude detected there. All the best and keep bringing us great content! Best regards!
What?! Since when?
Great show, and about time a quality easy-to-listen-to app cast came out. Thank you.
Ummm…. WordPlay is back to .99, it seems.
Other than that – nice concept! Had fun listening to the first show.
As for todo list, I’ve been using remember the milk (RTM) for a while now. They have a free account option with minimal iphone support (web app), but pay 25$ for the pro account at the website, and this gives you access to the native iphone app, which is TOTALLY AWESOME.
@tulextreme… For a rookie I thought Eric did pretty good. Scott is the man of course, but even Randy needed to grow into The Instance.
Eric – Stick with it! Looking forward to future eps, daughter is going of to college with possibly an i-touch and a MAC. Maybe she’ll follow along.
I love it! Great show guys! Don’t worry Eric, I eat half of the poptart at night too
Cinnamon roll is yummy. Scott you just don’t know what you are missing hehe
1) Heard you on Wednesday’s Buzz Out Loud
2) Love my iPod Touch
3) How does one meander through thousands of apps?
4) Let someone else do it!
Haven’t listened to episode 1 yet, but I did subscribe via my favorite app, RSSPlayer (It updates podcasts via wi-fi, woot!). Looking forward to hearing what you have to offer. Good luck on the show.
Great first episode,
cant wait for the next one!
Do a review of PocketGod, thats a great app
Heard about your podcast on Buzz Out Loud. Great podcast, Scott and Eric, really enjoyed it. I’m addicted to the app store. My 3 favorites – Rock Music Mega Pack, Emergency Radio and Myst. Looking forward to your 2nd episode !!
You MUST buy and review Firemint Real Racing. Unbelievably great graphics.
First episodes suck. Period. I know this will be a fun show, and I look forward to the next episode. I want to know if Scott J is going to pony up the $399 to upgrade to the 3GS.
Loved the podcast and no-kidding I thought to myself more than once that you should do an app podcast because there isn’t anything out there that does it right like you.
Its interesting, you have a formula for your shows (and I’ve listened to them all) that works. You mix it up with different segments, sounds, music, co-hosts, etc. You have found something that works, and its probably why this sounds so good out of the gate, because you are comfortable doing it. The mic disappears and you just enjoy the time talking about things you love.
Interesting point, you talked about the Mafia Wars type games and how they just re-label the same game with different graphics. I agree with you, but I think its a formula that works, obviously from the staggering numbers of people that play them, and if they can apply that formula in a package that different people will get into, then thats a good thing right? My favorite is Epic Pet Wars, it is by far the most polished and not just a webkit game.
Mint.com rocks. I have used it for a couple of months now, and wow its so nice to have it automatically aggregate everything. I can easily budget things now and see exactly where all my money goes. I recommend it! They have some very exciting stuff coming too! The iPhone app needs some love, its pretty much just a display of your online account right now.
Good job! Count me in!
Excellent first episode! I don’t even own an iPhone (yet!), so I’m just getting all juiced up and ready to get some apps. Great job, I’m subscribed.
Hey! Great 1st Episode. Just heard of this podcast from when you were on Buzz out Loud so I started from the beginning.
My Favorite todo program is EasyTask from Orionbelt. Free Demo version and then $19.99 but really great app and free desktop and web version. So if your husband or wife wants to add a task they can log into your web version and put it in. The app doesn’t notify you of changes yet but they are working on that.
